Reflection 7 ( Pedagogy )

Mock teaching day !

Arina is happy.



I've done my mock-teaching and i must say that i feel so glad right now.
Oh, i never tell you about the preparation for that important day.

I don't know where to start. Errrr ...

Okay, now i have the idea. Actually our lecturer is the one who put effort to make sure we are well-prepared for that day. She is the one who gave us a lot of tasks such as design a lesson plan, create a powerpoint and she commenting each one of our work. This way help me a lot because this is my first time doing all these things and all the comments is the things that i need the most. Well, i think i learnt better by that. Because of this, i must say that the preparation for mock teaching is started since the previous 3 weeks before the actual day.

And you know what ? I'm the third person for the first week to do the mock teaching. The pressure is high as the Petronas Twin Tower *not kidding. So, I am not sure what do my friend, Annurah felt to be the first person.

The most challenging part in doing the preparation for the mock teaching is to choose an interesting topic. Once i have found the topic, the next challenge is to find interesting way to teach the topic. So, what i learn from this is challenge will be along our way to teach the topic. It's just like our buddy, follow us from the start till the end.

Lucky me, i have a lot of supportive friends which always support me and always give their idea. For this entry, I would like to thanks all of you, You guys are awesome ! Even most of my classmates are doing Mathematics but they are so creative in English too. Never lack of idea. Sasi, Amirrul are the person who i need to mention for helping a lot. To my awesome senior, Bazilah and Bibi, Thank you for your willingness to answer all my doubt about teaching. And Adli, i will never forget your help *emotional huhu



So, i must say that my preparation is based on asking all the people around me. Asking for their opinion and critics.

The night before mock teaching day is one of memorable night for me. Why ? Because i sacrificed my sleep the whole night to do all the preparation. Like always, last minute preparation. *I promise to change this habit. And what interesting was, i felt so energetic and didn't felt sleepy at all. I'm just like enter a new world and really get into the lesson plan and powerpoint *teacher magical world i guess. Or maybe because i am too scared if i do mistakes in front of my lecturer and friends during my mock teaching.

Finished all the work at 6am, i started to dress up. Oh well, for this special day i even wore my best 'baju kurung' and Madihah is the one who accompanied me to buy a new 'tudung'. Thanks friend for helping me to look as a real teacher on that day.

Super excited and nervous as well. Entering the class and prayed the best for everyone. Waiting for my turn, Annurah and Danitah go first. For the first time doing this, they are great. Sharing the same spirit, i tried my best.



It was so fun. No, i am not lying. Teaching is really fun. Especially when all the students which is my classmates cooperate well and participate in all games. After me, Kiran's turn. He also did well. I am happy because our lecturer said all the good things and we take all the comments to improve ourselves in future.

Finishing the day with a big smile. And i even still smiling while writing this entry.
