Reflection 9 ( Pedagogy )

Time flies so fast. We are almost to our final. Wuhuu *scared.

Hi friends. Is everyone doing good ?

Okay, for this entry i would like to give a gist for what i have learnt in past 12 weeks and 5 things that i will take note when i am in teaching world.

In more 2 years, i will graduate and maybe i will be a teacher as soon as that. Pray for me for that. The things that i will take note are :

1) No bias / racism
In my pedagogy class, my lecturer always mention that it is a big mistake for teacher to be bias. Racism is even worst. We, as a teacher need to be a role model for them. Our objective is same, to produce a great generation, to create a hollistic kind of students. All students deserve to get the same opportunity. Teach them with love, make them feel loved. Teacher is their second parent and a good parent never be bias or give unfair attention to their child.



2) Be professional
In term of dressing, talking and teaching, teacher need to be professional. Never say harsh word in front of students. They are easily to get offend, so beware for what we are going to say. same as dressing, always wear a proper attire to look professional. Once you enter the class, put aside all the personal problem and only focus to your students. They deserve the attention from us.



3) Prepare well
After pedagogy class, i learnt that being a teacher is not only in class, the time we teach the students. Actually, be a teacher will influence all our life. We need to spend time to do preparation for our teaching. Yes, maybe most of people will think that being a teacher is easy, have many holiday, but the fact is we still need to do extra class, mark student' paper. Plus, the teaching world nowadays is much different from our time. We need to learn many things because the students are way too advanced, include the parents.



4) Do work on time
I need to change my habit, which is procrastinate work. As a teacher, I am sure i don't like my students to do my work last minute. Realizing that, i will change my behavior first. I want to be a good role model for them. Doing last minute work will effect my teaching soon. I will do best to throw away that habit.



5) Passionate
Be a teacher is not a simple job. Everyone need to have passion in teaching. As we all know, behind a good doctor, a wise lawyer, a success entrepreneur there is a passionate teacher. Teacher is the one who will teach the students with all knowledge that they have. Without passion, we might be feel bored with our career and at last, we will have no fun in teaching. This will give a huge impact to the students.
